On Trying

You may want to quit...you may Need to, but Life...the way it keeps happening, it won't let you. Maybe it's your will that won't allow it. Or, maybe it's your weakness...but you can't stop, it Cannot happen. Not yet.

No matter what you feel. Even though, in the light of day almost everything you feel hurts, everything that came before causes pain that ripples through every fiber of your being, and...you succumb yet again. Because, nothing else can numb that pain.

It matters not, the consequences. Because it's better than giving up altogether. It has to be better. You need it to be. At least, that's what you tell yourself. And, you can't tell the difference between your own lies, and the truth of what comes if you don't believe them.

So, try to not over-do it, even if you realize how bad this path is.

Try to do better, and moderate. You have nothing else. So, please...try.
